Specialist Speech Pathology for adults with neurological and chronic conditions.

Helping adults communicate, have better conversations and connect.

Based in Mosman, serving Sydney's Lower North Shore and beyond

When a stroke, Parkinson's disease or other neurological or chronic condition affects your communication or swallowing, it's often the everyday moments that become the hardest.

The conversations you avoid. The phone calls you put off. The dinners with friends you stop attending. The coffee catch-ups that no longer feel easy.

Neuro Connect Speech Pathology works with you to improve communication, eating and drinking, helping you reconnect with the people, activities and moments that matter most.

Some people seek help in the first weeks after a diagnosis. Others come later, or when something has changed. Both are the right time, with therapy tailored to you.

Supporting you to communicate and connect

Communication

Support with speech, language and conversation when a neurological or chronic condition has changed the way you communicate.

Volume and Clarity

Support with volume and clarity and being heard the first time, on the phone, at the table and in a room with other people talking.

Eating and swallowing

Assessment and support when eating, drinking or swallowing has become difficult, uncomfortable or less safe.

Neuro Connect Speech Pathology works with adults living with the effects of stroke, aphasia, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, dementia, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, long COVID, and chronic fatigue (CFS/ME), and any other neurological or chronic disease, along with their partners and families.

You do not need a diagnosis to get in touch.

Meet Natalie James

Specialist knowledge. Practical support. A very human approach.

I’m a certified practicing speech pathologist working with adults living with neurological and chronic conditions.

Before starting Neuro Connect, I spent many years in specialist adult neurology and rehabilitation services across NSW Health, including the Motor Neurone Disease Clinic at St Joseph’s hospital, supporting people with complex communication and swallowing needs.

My work is about making communication, eating and drinking easier in the situations that count. Being heard without repeating yourself. Joining in at the table. Managing a phone call. Enjoying a meal again.

Every person’s situation is different, so therapy is built around your goals and your everyday life. Family are welcome in sessions whenever that helps.

Above all, I believe every person deserves to be heard, understood and included. It’s a privilege to work alongside people and their families as things get easier.
